Friday, January 25th, 2008

I thought that I would start to add classic CBS soap clips that I have found on Youtube to my blog. I think I may do a classic clip once a week. And thanks to all the people on Youtube who post some really good clips of the soaps. You make me remember why I became interested in this genre to begin with.

This week I will show a classic clip from Guiding Light.

This clip is when Roger Thorpe raped Holly. This air back in 1979 and was pretty taboo subject back then.

Young_And_Restless_Logo.jpg

There have been rumors for months that The Young & the Restless were looking to cast the role of Victor Jr., who is Victor’s son by Hope. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Chris Engen has been cast as Victor Jr. This would be a great time to bring in the character of Victor Jr., since Victor has pretty much alienated everyone else from his family. Here is hoping that this is not just another rumor and we will finally get to see what Victor’s youngest son is all about.

dt_gl_act_large_sgatschet_04.jpg

Stephanie Gatschet will be making a return appearance as Tammy on Guiding Light this month. She is schedule to appear January 22, 23, and the 25th. I am assuming she will most likely be returning as a ghost like she has done in past episodes since Tammy’s death last year. This will also coincide with the return Tom Pelphrey’s character Jonathan who will also be returning this month.

The Bold & the Beautiful’s Mykel Shannon Jenkins (Charlie) also received a nomination. The other actors in this category are Kamar de los Reyes and Tobias Truvillion from One Life to Live.

New Characters Coming to Y&R?

Friday, January 11th, 2008

The Young & the Restless are looking for someone to the play the roles of Sabrina who is suppose to be a friend of Victoria’s from Italy and Joseph who is suppose to have ties to the Newman family. Some are speculating that Joseph may actually end up being Victor Jr. Though with the ongoing writer’s strike I am not sure when these characters will actually be cast.

On today’s show look for the return of April Stevens. She will be on for a few episodes. She is Heather’s mom and Paul’s ex. April is now being played by Rebecca Staab, who had soap roles in Port Charles and Guiding Light.

Patrick Duffy Leaving The Bold & the Beautiful

Monday, January 7th, 2008

patrick duffy_1.jpg

It is being reported that Patrick Duffy (Stephen Logan) is out at The Bold & the Beautiful. If you have been watching the show in the last few weeks, Duffy’s story has basically wrap up. Since Stephen Logan is more of a recurring character, there is probably a good chance that we will see Duffy again sometime in the future on The Bold & the Beautiful.
