Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) will be make a brief return to Y&R on August 13th. It always to good to see Maitland back at Y&R.

Noah Newman to be Recast

There has been a rumor ever since Noah Newman went off to summer camp last month that the character would probably come back recast and aged. There is now word that in fact the character of Noah Newman has been aged and will now be played by actor Kevin Schmidt.

Michael Gross Joining The Young & the Restless

Michael Gross has been cast as Lowell Baldwin, Michael’s father on The Young & the Restless. Gross is best known for his role on the 80s sitcom Family Ties. His first air date is August 15th.

Y&R Going to France

This October The Young & the Restless is planning on doing a remote shoot in Paris, France. No word on which actors will be going on remote. The Young & the Restless has been airing in France for close to 20 years and is known as Les Feux De L’Amour over there.

Montel Williams Guest Starring on Guiding Light

On August 1st talk show host Montel Williams will guest star on Guiding Light as Clayton Boudreau. Clayton is Remy and Mel’s father. He will also make an appearance on August 5th.

Michelle Ray Smith Leaving Guiding Light?

The rumor mill is saying that Michelle Ray Smith (Ava) will not be retuning to Guiding Light. She will be leaving for maternity leave later this month and some are saying that she will not return to the soap after her maternity leave is up.

It has been reported in several soap magazines that Raya Meddine (Sabrina) is on her way out at Y&R. There has been no word as to when her last air date will be, though some are saying that she could be out as soon as early August.

Vincent Irizarry Leaving The Young & the Restless

Vincent Irizarry (David Chow) has reported on his Myspace page that he will soon be leaving The Young & the Restless. The handwriting was on wall that David Chow time might be up, since it looks like he had something to do with Ji Min Kim’s death. There is no word of Irizzary last air date on Y&R as of yet.
