As the World Turns

by Jennifer Frye

Lily meets with Lucinda at Al’s diner. Lily is joking at first about Tea Time, but Lucinda soon crushes her humor as they start to discuss business. Lucinda is not impressed with the way that Lily is handling everything. Lily tries to argue with Lucinda, but it’s no use. Lucinda asked her if she is feeling alright. Lily tells her that she just feels tired a lot lately. Lucinda asked her if she could be pregnant. Lily quickly brushed that idea off. Lily gets up to take a break from their conversation. Craig walks in and goes over to see Lucinda. He wants to know if Lucinda has heard from his daughter and his son. Lucinda tells him that she hasn’t heard from them and she is not expecting to. Craig starts to tell her that he is sure that she is a lonely woman with only her servants to talk to and look forward to seeing every evening. He starts to mention that she was probably hoping that Lucy would be there for her every evening. Craig goes on to tell her that with Lucy transferring her internship over to Oakdale Memorial and living with her, she was well on her way to having everything that she wanted. Craig also added that Lucy will no longer be able to be a doctor ever again. Lucinda told Craig that she hopes that he dies and soon. If he doesn’t die, at least do something awful in order to get put away for a few years. Craig takes her complaining as funny and laughs it off. Lily comes back and sits down with Lucinda and Craig. Lucinda gets up and says she has to go. Lily tells her to wait because they have a meeting to finish. Lucinda said that she will finish it later. Lily sat down and started talking to Craig. He had seen that Lily was a little frustrated with her conversation with her mother. Craig asked her what the problem was and Lily confided in him that Lucinda was financing her company and she didn’t really see eye to eye with Lucinda. Craig tells her that she needs to go on her own and start her company. Lily agrees with him that she does need to go out on her own. But she asked him where she could get the million dollars to fund it. She also tells him that she hasn’t been taking a diet pill for a while and she is feeling tired lately. While she is taking the pills, she has energy. Craig tells her that she needs to take them if she wants to take them.

Brad and Vienna are still at the studio in Katie’s office. They start to kiss and make out. As they were in the middle of their make out session, Vienna’s phone rang. She has just learned that she is being sued for everything that she owns. Vienna hangs up the phone and she is upset. Brad tries to convince her that making love would definitely calm her down, but Vienna is too upset to even hear him. She puts on her fur coat and walks out, but she runs back just to kiss Brad and heads out the door again.

Jack has taken Katie to a hockey game. Katie has never been to one before and she is amazed at the violence. She starts yelling at the players. She asked Jack which team she should be rooting for and he tells her that it’s the team in the red jerseys with the letters OU on it. Katie understood that OU stood for Oakdale University. Standing up and shouting brought attention to herself and someone from the bleachers recognized her. The woman goes over and asked her if she was that lady from the show. Katie acknowledged that she was. The woman starts to compliment Brad. Katie turns around and continues to watch the game. Katie asked Jack why he brought her there. Jack tells her that Parker loves Hockey, but he didn’t want to come with him. Katie assures him that things will get better and it won’t be long before Parker sees how lucky he is to have a dad like Jack. They continue to watch the game. Katie and Jack stand up to cheer on the team. All of a sudden, a puck comes flying up and hits Katie in the face.

Gwen meets with Maddie to talk about Adam. Maddie tells Gwen that she is not going to let her take the fall for this. Maddie confesses that she was the one that hit him to begin with. Gwen tries to argue with her but there is no use, Maddie runs off. Gwen doesn’t know that Iris is sitting on a bench behind her reading the paper. She heard the whole conversation. She goes to talk to Dallas. After talking to Dallas, she leaves him and goes into the Morgue where Adam’s body is.

Gwen goes home and lays in bed. She acts like she will go to sleep when Will leaves. He kisses her goodbye and heads out the door. As soon as Gwen hears the door shut, she hops out of bed and starts to call Maddie, but there is a knock at the door. Gwen puts her phone down and answers the door. It’s Iris, but Gwen doesn’t want to talk right now. She tries to shut the door in Iris’ face. Iris catches the door. She lets Gwen know that she knows about her secret.
