The Daytime Emmys have finally found a home. After the major networks past on showing this year’s Emmys, the CW Network has decided they will air the award show. The award show is tentatively schedule to air on August 31, 2009. The main nominees will be announce on the fourth hour of the Today Show on May 14th.

Due to coverage of the NCAA Basketball all of the CBS soaps will be pre-empted on Thursday March 19th and Friday March 20th. The soaps will return on Monday March 23rd.

All CBS daytime soaps will be pre-empted on Tuesday January 20th due to coverage of The Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. The soaps will be back on Wednesday January 21st.

Here is the schedule for the CBS soap operas during the New Year’s holiday.

On Wednesday December 31st As the World Turns and Guiding Light will be pre-empted. The Young & the Restless will air a new episode and The Bold & the Beautiful will also air a new episode, but will be pre-empted on the West Coast (with a late night airing scheduled).

All CBS soaps will be pre-empted on Thursday January 1st New Years Day.

All of the CBS soaps will return with new episodes on Friday January 2nd.

On Christmas Day The Bold & the Beautiful and As the World Turns will not be airing. In some areas Guiding Light will show a repeat episode of Josh and Reva’s interrupted wedding. The Young & the Restless will air a classic Christmas episode from 1989.

All the CBS soaps will return with new episodes on Friday December 26th.

Crystal Hunt (ex-Lizzie) will be joining the cast of One Life to Live starting in February. Hunt will play the role of a new character name Stacy.
