ATWT: Noah and Luke Kiss

Friday, August 17th, 2007

We saw it for the first time today: daytime television’s first male same sex kiss. The love triangle between Luke, Noah, and Maddie continues with a dynamic event. Luke is helping Noah prepare for lunch with his father. He helps him with his tie and the close encounter turns into a big time smooch. Noah is aware of Luke’s sexuality, but is still conflicted about his own. Its seems he is struggling to understand his feelings for Luke and reconcile them with his upbringing and the expectations placed on him by his father. Poor Maddie seems caught in the middle, but I shouldn’t say “poor” Maddie, because she doesn’t seem very emotionally invested to me. It’s not even realistic, to me, that she would stay in Oakdale for him. She doesn’t feel for him what she does for Casey, anyway. I’m happy for Luke, in a way, though I’m sure he will have an uphill battle striving for a relationship with someone who is “confused.”
I think it’s a wonderful thing that daytime drama has taken this step.
Oh, yeah, and Carly goes under some quicksand in the rescue of J.J.

ATWT: Bringing Back Billy Ross?

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Rumor has it that As The World Turns is looking to recast Billy Ross. They want to bring the character back for a Billy/Maddie/Casey love triangle. This would be very similar to the last love triangle that Billy was involved in with Jennifer and Bryant.

You may remember that Bryant was Billy’s cousin, the same as Casey. They are said to be auditioning for this part right now. We’ll see what turns up on the screen soon.

CBS Soaps Chat, New Blogger

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

I’m Kristyn and I’ll be the new CBS Soaps blogger.

I missed all the soaps yesterday. Boo!!! I had to run errands earlier in the day. Then when I got back I had some work to get caught up on and an interview to do so I had to forego watching the soaps. Because of such, I thought we could just chat today about what’s been going on in Soaps world.

What do you think of the cross-overs between Y&R and B&B? First Amber made her appearance on Y&R. Then Ashely made her move to B&B. Now Christine popped up to represent Ridge. What’s up with that?

(I can’t lie…I’m not a big fan of B&B. I think their story lines are always outrageous and unbelievable.)

The Young and the Restless has been heating up lately, too, with Daniel and Kevin. I find it insane that Daniel has sunk so low. Who in their right mind listens to Amber for heaven’s sakes?! Now they’re neck-deep in doo-doo because of her. That girl is T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

I managed to see the previews of today’s ATWT and wonder of all wonders, Craig is going to see Megan kissing Paul. We knew that was coming though, didn’t we? I don’t think that’s going to affect his desire to marry Meg though. I think he’s going to go forward with the wedding anyway.

It’s looking more and more like Olivia and Jeffrey are going to hook up. Surprise, surprise. :) I always thought her and Buzz were an odd match anyway. They’re too different. I was really upset when they took away what’s-her-name (with the blonde hair?) way back when. Her and Buzz were such a fun, cute couple.

Okay, that’s it for today. What are your thoughts on all this? Holler at me in the comments!
