CBS Soaps Watch

Judge David Young will guest star on Y&R on the July 11th episode. He will be part of the poker game with David, Brad, and Skye. Young has a TV court show called Judge David Young.

Vincent Irizarry (David Chow) has reported on his Myspace page that he will soon be leaving The Young & the Restless. The handwriting was on wall that David Chow time might be up, since it looks like he had something to do with Ji Min Kim’s death. There is no word of Irizzary last air date on Y&R as of yet.

Victoria Rowell (ex Dru on Y&R) recently announced her engagement to Atlanta artist Radcliffe Bailey. No wedding date has been set yet. Congratulations to the happy couple.

Look for singer Little Richard to guest star on The Young & the Restless on June 30th. He will be performing some of his music on the daytime soap.

Eva Marcille the winner of the third season of America’s Next Top Model is joining the cast of The Young & the Restless. She will play a young mother on the daytime soap.

Eileen Davidson (Ashley) will be returning to The Young & the Restless on June 19th and 20th. It is always good to see the character of Ashley back at her old stomping grounds.

Hogan Sheffer will be joining the writing staff of The Young & the Restless as co-headwriter. Sheffer was recently the headwriter for Days of Our Lives. He also wrote for As the World Turns.

We will soon be seeing less of Michael Graziadei (Daniel) on The Young & the Restless. He will be out for six weeks shooting the movie The Reef. On the show Daniel will go on tour with his father Danny starting May 27. Look for Graziadei to make his return on Y&R sometime in July.

There was a reason that the character of Colleen left for Shanghai last week on The Young & the Restless. Her portrayer Tammy Sursok is shooting a TV movie in Canada called Spectacular. It will air on Nickelodeon and it is suppose to be like Disney’s High School Musical. The movie will most likely come out some time in 2009.

Eddie Cibrian (ex Matt Clark on The Young & the Restless) will be a guest star on the hit ABC show Ugly Betty as coach Tony Diaz, who interacts with Betty’s sister Hilda. It is always nice to see sexy Eddie on my TV screen. You can catch Ugly Betty on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

Today the Daytime Emmy Nominations were announce. CBS led the other networks in nominations. Since this site is focus on CBS Soaps I will list the nominations from CBS soaps.

Guiding Light and The Young & the Restless were nominated for Outstanding Drama along with General Hospital and One Life to Live.

Joshua Morrow (Nick) of The Young & the Restless and his wife Tobe Morrow have a new baby son name Cash Joshua Morrow. Mother and son are doing fine. This is the couples third son.
