Guiding Light Wednesday Update
This whole episode was about Josh and Billy.
Billy talks to Sylvia about responsibility and leaves Billy to think. Josh is feeling pressures from work and says to himself he needs a clone. Just then, Billy walks in. Billy wants his job back. Cassie agrees it is the right thing. Josh says no. Billy lets him know that HB left in his will that Billy would always have a place at Lewis. Josh suggest that they take a trip to HB’s attorney’s office. They both agree and set off on their adventure. When they get to the airport, they find their pilot had just got married and had been drinking. Unable to fly their private plane, they have to take a commercial flight. There were just two seats left. Josh and Billy fight the whole trip. The pilot informs the passengers that they would have to re-route to Kansas. After getting off the plane, and constantly fighting, the two brothers agree to finish their trip in two different ways. Billy was going to take a bus and Josh rented a car. Billy had bad luck on the bus and had to ride with Josh. They fight over the keys which slips out of Josh’s hands and in between a woman’s boobs. Going down the road, and still fighting all the way, Billy demands Josh to pull over. When Josh does, he finds out that it is to pick up a young hitch-hiker. The girl said she was on her way back to college. Back on the road again, they fight some more and tell the girl some past moments. She pulls a gun out and robs them. Leaving them stuck along the road with no money, no shoes and no belts. After they argue some more, they take off walking. They run into a group of immigrants. They continue to argue the whole time. When they turn around, the immigrants are gone. Before they knew it, they were under arrest. When they get to jail, the judge immediately starts working on their case. But he is interrupted when two brothers come in fighting so much that the judge had no choice but to lock them up. He didn’t have anymore room so the deputy is ordered to cuff Josh and Billy to the benches and bring them some food. Eventually, Josh thanks Billy for taking care of Reva. He asked Billy what it was like taking care of her. Billy tells Josh that she was in alot of pain, and he held her hand, that was all he could really do. Josh told Billy that he was glad Billy was there if he couldn’t be and asked Billy to tell him some more, he really wanted to know. They talked for hours and finally hugged.
When they woke up, the judge was standing in front of them with the girl that had robbed them. The judge dismissed the charges and offered them a police escourt to the airport so they could catch their flight. Billy told them it wouldn’t be necessary and he was going back home. He didn’t want to have to force his way into anywhere. Josh said that he didn’t have to force his way in and wanted Billy to be his partner again. They drove back to Springfield talking and laughing the whole way. They made it back and Cassie was waiting for them.
