Today the the nominations for the Daytime Emmys were announce. The CBS soaps had several nominations in the different categories.

TVGuide.com is reporting that Daytime Emmy Award winner Rick Hearst will be joining the cast of The Bold & the Beautiful as Whip Jones, a role that Hearst played on the soap a few years ago. Hearst had been on General Hospital for the last few years.

Nia Peeples (Karen) will make a breif appearance on The Young & the Restless on May 14th.

Peter Francis James will be returning to Guiding Light as Clayton (Remy’s Dad) on May 12th. Clayton was most recently played by talk show host Montel Williams. James played the role of Clayton a few years back.

This week’s clip comes from The Bold & the Beautiful. It is a clip of Stephanie and Brooke slapping each other.

On May 22nd there will be a “Save the Light Rally” to help save Guiding Light. The rally will be held in New York City. To participate, you should arrive at The Early Show plaza located at 59th Street and 5th Avenue by 7:30 AM that day.

Soaps in Depth is reporting that Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan) will be returning to Guiding Light sometime this summer.

On the May 6th episode of The Young & the Restless look for Camryn Grimes (Cassie) to make an appearance. She will appear to Sharon in a dream.

Daytime Confindential are reporting that John Driscoll (ex-Coop Guiding Light) will be joining the cast of The Young & the Restless. Driscoll has been cast as Phillip Chancellor IV, Nina and Phillip III son. Driscoll is suppose to start later this month.

This week’s clip comes from Guiding Light. It is a clip of Rick finding out that Phillip slept with his wife Meredith and got her pregnant.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Nancy St. Alban (Michelle) will be returning to Guiding Light in late May. Plans to recast the role of Michelle were scrapped after the cancellation announcement. Earlier it was announce that Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny) would also be returning.

BethAnn Bonner will be joining the cast of Guiding Light as a new character in early June. Bonner had played the role of Talia on One Life to Live.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny Santos) will be returning to Guiding Light in May. There had been some earlier reports that Guiding Light was looking to recast the role of Michelle Bauer who plays Danny’s wife. Stewart was last seen on Guiding Light back in 2005.

This week’s clip comes from The Young & the Restless. It is a clip of Jack seeing that Victor is still very much alive, when everyone presume he was dead.

On April 23rd and 24th look for Zuzanna Szadkowski to guest star on Guiding Light. She will play a Bosnian nun who has shocking news for Dinah. Szadkowski is best known as playing the role of the lovable maid Dorota on CW show Gossip Girl.
