Michael Damian (Danny) will return to Y&R on March 20th. This is probably going to be a short term return, but it will be good to see Damian back. Maybe he can check on his son Daniel.

TV Guide is reporting that Lesli Kay (Felicia) from The Bold & the Beautiful may bring her character to The Young & the Restless. Some insiders are even speculating that this could become a permanent move for her character, since she is not use very often on B&B.

Classic Clip of the Week

by Jeannette Murray

This week’s clip comes from The Young & the Restless. This is a catfight between Diane and Nikki over Victor’s sperm. The sperm storyline was crazy, but this is one of the better catfights that I have seen on this show.

by Jeannette Murray

Ricky Paull Goldin (Gus) recently sent an e-mail to members of his fanclub that he plans on leaving Guiding Light after his contract is up in a couple of weeks. Goldin has been with Guiding Light since 2001.

Here are some quotes from the e-mail that Goldin wrote to his fans.

“I want you to be one of the first to know that I’m planning on leaving Guiding Light when my contract expires in a couple of weeks.”

“Gus has been a huge part of my life and I will really miss portraying him and bringing this character to life for you.”

“It means so much to me that you have shown your continued love and support for me and the character of Gus.” “I am sure that the powers-that-be at Guiding Light would love to hear from you as well. It is always good to let them know how you feel. That, of course, is your right.”

B&B Star May Retire

by Jeannette Murray

Susan Flannery (Stephanie) from The Bold & Beautiful recently did an interview for an Australian TV show. She talks about several things in the interview, but one of the main things she mentions is she might retire from B&B in the next couple of years. Even though Stephanie can get on my nerves, I can’t imagine B&B without her, and Susan Flannery is an excellent actress.

Here is the interview.

Latham Out at The Young & the Restless

by Jeannette Murray

lynn_latham.jpg

There has been a rumor for the last month or so that The Young & the Restless head writer Lynn Marie Latham has been fired from the show. Now that the writer’s strike is over, it is once again being reported that Latham is out as head writer. If this is true, I believe with the right writer Y&R can once again go back to being the quality show it was in the past. Under Latham, The Young & the Restless was just not the show it once was, but during the strike the show has improved. I think Latham style is better suited for prime time. I will keep you posted when the new head writer is officially announce.

Writer’s Strike Coming to an End

by Jeannette Murray

It looks like the writer’s strike is finally coming to an end after three months. During the strike the soap operas continue to produce new shows. With the strike ending I guess some of the striking writers will return to writing for their soaps now. I believe that both The Young & the Restless and Guiding Light have both improved since the writer’s strike, so it will be interesting to see if now that the writers might be back will these shows continue on that improvement or will they go on a downward spiral. Only time will tell.

Sneak Peek for The Bold & the Beautiful This Week

by Jeannette Murray

This is a clip of one of the things that will be coming up on B&B this week. It is a clip of Rick kissing Taylor. At least Taylor won’t have to worry about Brooke stealing Rick from her.
