Today I like to watch The Young And The Restless.

I’m confused:
When a man stalks a woman, he’s a criminal, but I get the feeling that you now expect us to put all of that aside to embrace Chloe - because she’s going to have a baby??? Very sexist. It’s bad enough you’ve made Cain, Jill and Catherine so stupid they didn’t even request a second pregnancy test.
But let’s not forget the nurse who would risk her career for a few bucks to change the due date on Chloe’s scan.
This is the 21st Century. Social norms don’t dictate that people get married just because of a pregnancies. It’s right up there with having to marry a woman because you’ve seen her ankles. -Makes just about as much sense as a conniving female stalker suddenly becoming a good person just because she’s pregnant. No.
And the stalking issue? I, probably like some of the other viewers, have been stalked. Stalking has as much to do with love as sex has to do with rape. If there are any rape scenarios in the show’s future will the victim fall for her rapist? Nothing would surprise me at this point.
And Cain? The Lady’s Wonder from Down Under who so brain dead when dealing with Chloe? Were those real ladies he dealt with or were they the blow-up kind?
When a man who isn’t a rich business man doesn’t pay child support, or at the very least anonymously help pay for his child’s education (and we all know how inexpensive Harvard Business School is), he’s called a deadbeat dad. Not only did you totally let Victor off the hook, you’ve demonized the victim (Adam).
You continue to write Victor Newman as a superman. On that note, why is it that the only person who always see VN for what he really is (Jack Abbott) has to always be the bad guy?
I suppose nothing else needs to said about the Sabrina fiasco, but picture a worldly young woman - in the European art world - flipping head over heels on the spot for a wrinkled grandfather who’s her best friend’s dad. No need to comment on HIS reaction. Very sexist. Very incestrous. And more than a little kinky.
This next one is a real brain-teaser but I’ll keep it simple: When a person is arrested, aren’t they fingerprinted? Did Marge and Catherine have/had identical fingerprints??
When did the writers give us a glimpse that (per Olivia) Neil has amorous feelings for Tyra? Can Karen behave any more like a floor mat as she watches Tyra become so emotionally overwrought that the female fake has to fall into Neil’s arms - yet one more time? (In a real-world scenario it would be really funny if we were to find that Olivia is just as fake while acting as Tyra’s friend - when Olivia’s true intentions toward Neil become apparent.)
Have any attorneys in the viewing audience commented about how realistic it is for Michael Baldwin to represent two competing maga-companies at the same time?
Why didn’t Paul choke when he inquired about how Heather spent New Year’s Eve - after he pressed for the prosecution of Adam? (The same Paul whose great respect for the law was very evident when he kidnapped Sheila and held her as a prisoner.) Gosh, I hope HE had a great time celbrating. Such a hypocrite.
Back to the attorney issue: With all the legal power available to Jabot when the cream-tampering inident ocurred which resulted in Jack being forced out of the company, I suppose one has to wonder how the super-legal ability of Michael will prove that the woman’s death was actually caused food poisoning and not the cream - and conveniently get Gloria off the hook.
Can’t forget Kevin. Yeah, sure - you’d hire him TO LEAD Jabot’S IT department over all the other IT people. Right. Just like you’d make Gloria a VP. (Does the woman at least have a GED?) And now you want us to believe he’s so strapped for money he has to steal?
I realize new writers have been hired but it seems like more of the same… At this point I believe the Y&R writers are so bad that perhaps they should solicit guest writers from the viewing audience.
