The Young and The Restless Daily Update

by Jennifer Frye

Victoria called Victor over to their house so that Brad and Rebecca can tell him the truth. They know that he has been asking questions lately and now it’s time to tell him. They sit down. Brad begins the story by telling him that his sister Stephanie was suppose to go with Rebecca to pass out gifts to the less priviledged. Stephanie wanted to stay behind to finish a book report so Brad went instead. When they returned, their family had been beaten to death. Rebecca thinks that the thugs were after her because of her activities after the war. Her and Brad ran. Rebecca’s sister was visiting at the time and was killed too. Rebecca thinks that they thought her sister was her and they had killed her. While they were running, Brad’s brother was with them when he got killed. Brad’s real name was George. When Brad got killed, he took his wallet and assumed his identity as Brad. Rebecca told Victor the rest of the story.
How when she was young, her family was taken prisoner. Her parents were killed and her sister was left in Italy. She had to work for the man who killed her mother and father. She had to catalog all the art work that they stole.

Michael works on Devon’s case. Devon confessed to Michael that there was one thing that he hadn’t told him. When he was younger, he was convicted of a felony for fighting with someone who was picking on him about his mother. Michael said that the records were sealed but he is glad to know the information to help prepare him for his case.

Gloria and Joanna continue to argue. Lauren is fed up with it and tells them both to quit acting like a couple of preschoolers. Joanna hushes her to tell her that she might wake Fin up since he can sense her mood. Just then, Fin starts crying. Lauren starts to go in but Joanna stops her and tells her that she will go in and sing to him. When she leaves, Gloria whispers to Lauren that she could just tell her to leave. Lauren said that she couldn’t do that because it would hurt her. Lauren thinks that maybe if she just thinks it enough then Joann will know.

The DA has lunch with Jill. Jill tells him that he is working too hard and he needs to make time for himself. She offers to give him a pedicure. He laughs.

Brad tells Victor that he thinks that he knows why Sharon was kidnapped and why. The person behind it was the son of the man who used Rebecca. Victoria told Victor that they couldn’t tell him at first because the more people who know, the more people were at risk. Victor takes Rebecca by the hand and tells her that he appreciates her telling him and he wants to help her.

Gloria comes in carrying a basket of clothes that she washed for Lauren. Joanna realizes that Gloria threw her clothes in the dryer and shrunk everything. Gloria tells Joanna that she has thought about what Joanna said about how Lauren would be left all alone if Gloria takes her job in California. Gloria told Joanna that she was going to move back in. Joanna tells her that there is no room and Gloria tells her that is okay. She will put up an air mattress beside of Joanna’s bed and they can have a slumber party. Lauren over hears their conversation.
Later, Lauren sits on the couch and reads a letter that her mother had written to her telling her that she had left and to take care. Michael comes in and Lauren is in a great mood. She tells him that her mother left. Lauren messaged Michael’s shoulders when his phone rings. Michael had to take the call. It’s the DA and they have a match. Jack Abbott.
