The Young & the Restless

by Jennifer Frye

Lauren and Michael go by Nick and Phyllis’ to pick up Fen. Phyllis graciously volunteered to watch Fen while Lauren and Michael went to the hospital to check on Kevin.

Neal answers the door to find that David Chow wanted to bring over some papers. Neal asked him if it could wait until he got to the office but David said that he thought that he would just stop in since he just lives a few doors down. Neal opens up the door and lets him in. Neal leaves him alone for a minute, just long enough for Dru to walk in and see him standing in her living room looking at her security system she bought. Dru asked him what he thought he was doing. Without giving him a second to reply, she starts yelling for Neal. He runs in the room and Dru asked him why David was there. She told Neal that David is just scoping out their apartment. Neal didn’t say anything, but escorted David to the door. Neal apologized for that and told David that they would have to conduct business at the office from now on. David stated, “How do you put up with that?? He called Dru a lunatic. He turns to walk away and there stood Lilly, Daniel and Devon who had just got off the elevator.

Lauren and Michael stay and visit for a while with Nick and Phyllis. Phyllis tells them that she has some good news. She and Nick will be getting married. She also surprised everyone when she asked Michael to stand up for her. Michael was shocked that she would ask him for that favor, but he accepted. Nick teased him telling him that he would look good in a dress. Phyllis also asked Lauren if she would stand beside her too. Lauren immediately accepted her invitation. As everyone sat and chatted, Phyllis started having some flashbacks of the kidnapping. The strange thing was, they were of Shelia in a white wig holding the baby in her arms. Michael interrupted her thoughts.

Kane brings Amber to his apartment that they will be sharing now that they are married. Kane was in danger of being sent back to Australia so Amber offered to marry him to prevent this. Kane refused, Amber got him drunk and gave him pills, then her best friend dressed up as Kane and they got hitched. When Kane came to, he had no idea what just happened. Amber stands at the door way and asked Kane if he would carry her across the threshold. Once inside, Amber puts her toothbrush in her new bathroom that she will be sharing with her new husband. Kane isn’t thrilled about the arrangement, but he accepts it. Jill and Katherine are still discussing the adoption situation. Jill wants to know who’s son she raised if it wasn’t her own. Katherine assures her that there is time to find that out, right now she needs to get in touch with her son and go tell him the news. Jill goes over to Kane’s apartment and is surprised to see Amber standing there in a towel. Amber told Jill that she was just getting out of the shower. She also explained that she had a right to be there since her and Kane were now husband and wife. Jill acted happy for them. She knew that now would not be the time to tell Kane and walked out. Kane thought that she was acting strange but he didn’t let it bother him too bad
