The Young & the Restless

by Jennifer Frye

Sharon is resting comfortably on her couch. Jack promises to take good care of her. Noah is there also. He was suppose to go on a field trip today with his class but he decided that he didn’t want to go. He wanted to stay at home with Sharon. He also had a question for his mother. “Are you and Jack going to get married?” Sharon told him that they have talked about it but they wanted to see what he thought about it first. Noah didn’t seem very happy and he was a little hesitant. Jack and Sharon finally convinced him to go on his school trip. Jack had to go to work but he didn’t want to leave Sharon unless she said that it was okay. Sharon insisted that she would be fine so Jack took off.

As soon as Jack got out the door, the phone rings. It is Brad. He was upset and he had to talk to Sharon. He wondered if he could come over and talk to her. Sharon told him to come on over so he did. While he was there, he told Sharon about his problems. Sharon finally confided in him. She told him that when she lost her grip and fell into the water, she thought about Noah and Cassie but she also thought about Brad, not Jack. She cried when she said it so it was bothering her. Brad didn’t know what to say.

Lily found the naked picture on Daniel’s cell phone. She can’t trust him now. She leaves him, Colleen is right behind her to help her friend through this difficult time. Lily opens the door to leave and there stood Amber. Amber says that she figured that she wouldn’t feel like cooking anything so she thought that she might bring breakfast over. Lily shakes her head in frustration and runs out the door. Amber steps in and talks to Daniel. She finds out why Lily is so mad at him right now. Amber tells him that it will be okay, but Daniel is worried about what this will do to their marriage.

At the coffeehouse Lily and Colleen sit at the table and discuss what just happened. Amber stops in on her way back from visiting with Daniel. She tries to smooth things over but Lily is too upset to listen. Meanwhile, Daniel goes over to the club to find out how Neal is doing. Neal is in 100% denial right now and refuses to admit that Dru is dead. He corrects anyone who says other wise. He tells them that she is not dead they just haven’t found her yet. He doesn’t want to go home because there is no one there.

Phyllis is sitting on her couch thinking when Michael comes over to see how she is doing. Phyllis is blaming herself for the accident. Michael reminds her that she didn’t aim for Dru and Sharon to fall off the cliff. Phyllis finally has to tell someone what really happened so she confides in Michael. She tells him that she was blackmailing Sharon over what happened in New York with Brad. Phyllis goes on to tell Michael that she had enough and was about to tell Jack what happened when they got into an arguement over the cell phone. Dru jumped in to stop the fighting and they all lost their grip.

Later Phyllis ran into Jack at the coffeehouse and Phyllis asked how Sharon was doing. Jack confides in Phyllis that every moment he has alone with Sharon, Brad shows up or calls. Phyllis reminds Jack that he needs to discuss his concerns with Sharon and not her. Jack is starting to get frustrated about it.
