Phillis and Jack are talking on the phone. Phyllis asked Jack if Santa brought him everything that he wanted. Jack said that he hasn’t been a good boy this year. They hang up the phone.

Lauren and Michael are getting ready to celebrate Christmas with their baby. They start kissing only to be interuppted by the doorbell. Gloria is the first to show. Then Lauren’s mom. They want to know where Kevin and Jana are. Gloria said they would be up soon. Down in their room, Jana brings kevin a cup of coffee. Kevin hands her a gift. She thought that they were going up to Michael and Laurens to open up gifts. Kevin told her that he wanted her to open this one gift first, so no one would get the idea. It is a crime novel.

Jack is sitting in the living room when Ashley comes down stairs. She asked him what was wrong. He reminises about their dad. How he used to sit in his chair on Christmas morning wearing that santa hat.

Nicki finishes putting a gift under the tree. Victor asked who that was for, and Nicki said it was Victoria’s expresso machine that she was wanting.
Jack and Ashley show up at Victor and Nicki’s house for Christmas. Then Sharon and Noah show up. Everyone is uncomfortable. Sharon thanks Victor for inviting Jack. Victor said that he did it to keep him out of trouble. Nicki thanks Jack for helping Phyllis in the elevator. Jack said that a ride in the Newman elevator will never be the same again.

Michael and Jana are in bed together. Michael don’t want to open anymore gifts until Kevin and Jana get up there. Michael calls kevin to see where he is at. Kevin said in bed. Michael understands and hangs up the phone. He tells Lauren that they don’t need to open any gifts until they get up there so he wants him and Lauren to take a trip to visit Phyllis and Nick.

Michael and Brad confront each other. Brad wants to thank Michael for the Christmas gift. What gift? Michael inquires. The order for a DNA sample. They start to argue when Victoria comes in and tells them that they need to wait, it’s Christmas.

Kevin and Jana show up and Gloria and Joanna are starting dinner for Lauren. They feel the tension. Gloria and Joanna fight about Lauren and what is best for her.

Jack apologizes to Victor for getting so emotional the other day at the hospital. Victor said ” Don’t you dare apologize for your feelings.” He said that was good that he was open.

Ashley is worried about Nicki being nice to her. Jack said that she wouldn’t be mean to her on Christmas. Jack and Sharon put the jackets on the kids so they can go out. Victor thanks Rebecca for coming. Victor said that she probably misses back home and her husband. They try to get Rebecca to talk about it. Brad and Victoria stand close so that they can hear everything. Brad puts his arm around his mothr. Nicki said that Rebecca would have to work on making new memories now. Victor had an idea. Why don’t Brad say a few words in honor of his mother. Brad said that would be a great idea. The kids go over to see Nick and Phyllis. Noah wants to see his baby sister. Phyllis said that she is sleeping right now. But he can open presents until she wakes up

Gloria and Joanna’s arguement is getting more heated. An ornament breaks. Joanna called Gloria a big Cow. Gloria
Sharon comes in to get the kids. Nick wanted to thank Sharon for keeping things as normal as possible. Phyllis comes down the stirs to see Nick give Sharon a kiss on the cheek. He changes the subject to ask if the baby is asleep. Phyllis said yea. Nick said that he had a gift for her. Turqoise. She loves them. They kiss.
Victor makes an announcement. The money that Victor and Nicki usually spend on each other at Christmas time, they have decided to donate to a charity. Also, Nicki had a change in the traditional present exchange this year. Nicki grabs a gift bag full of wrapped gifts. She hands them out to Ashley, Victoria, Sharon, Jack and Brad. She has Sharon open hers first. It’s a picture that Noah drew in Kindergarten. Victoria is next. Her’s is a term paper. Nicki reminds her that she told her teacher that she left her paper on the bus when she had actually forgot to finish it. She finished it that night and took it to school the next day. Nicki said the point was that you told the truth. Nicki is next. Piano music. It was her first song she learned to play and she thought it was so difficult. Victor was next. His old jacket. Victoria said she remembers him wearing it everywhere. Then it is time for Ashley. She got a perfume bottle from her fathers first line of perfume. Brad and Jack open theirs together. It is an old Newman Letterhead announcing Brad as the new CEO. Victor said that he used it alot of times to remind him.
Brad and Rebecca light the Hannakah candles. Sharon and Jack Kiss. Jack has something for Sharon under the tree. She opens it. A necklace. A little something to remind her of their time in the caribbean. Sharon said wait until you see what I got you. Island Rum, from their Caribbean trip. They are thankful for each other during this difficult time for each other.

Victor and Nickki go over to visit Phyllis and Nick. Nick and Phyllis have decided to name their baby Summer Ann Newman. Victor holds the baby first. Victor says ” Thank you”.

Lauren and Michael make it back home to see that Joanna and Gloria are being civil to each other. Lauren asked where the ornaments were. Joanna said “Don’t ask”. Jana and Kevin come in and they exchange gifts. Lauren recieved a book from Joanna. It’s about raising a baby on a schedule. Gloria gives her a book on how to let your baby grow without a schedule. Lauren feels torn.
Victor passes out drinks to everyone to make a toast. He tells everyone how much he appreciates everyone. Last but not least. His new friend, Jack Abbott who has taught him a valuable lesson. How to bring out the best in others. Cheers. Jack looks shocked.
