The Young & The Restless - Carmen’s killer is revealed

by Jennifer Frye

At the coffee house, Nick was sitting alone drinking his coffee and looking like he was miles away when Nicki came in. When Nicki sat down to talk to her son, she asked him if he was alright. He replied that he was. Phyllis and Summer was home in dreamland. Nicki asked him what was bothering him again. He asked her if she remembered what happened eleven years ago today. Nick flashed back to the day that he and Sharon were married. Obviously, Nick was feeling mixed emotions as he carried on his conversation with his mother. Nicki got up to leave because she had to take care of some business. Nick sat there a little longer by himself.

Neal came in the sitting room looking for his keys. He yelled it out loud asking Dru where they were. He found them and looked over and Dru was asleep on the couch. He put a blanket on her to keep her warm and Dru suddenly woke up panicking. She had to find out how Carmen was getting into her house and why she keeps calling. Dru went to take a shower and while she was gone, Neal called Devon to get him to come over. When he arrived, Neal asked him if he could stay with Dru until he returned. Neal had to see Michael about something. Devon was more than happy to stay with Dru and after Neal left, he raided the fridge. That is when Dru came in out of her shower. She was glad to see Devon. He told her that he thought that they could eat together. He noticed that her fridge was jammed pack with left-over roast and other delicious foods. Dru made the comment that she hasn’t accepted the fact that she needs to cook for just two now. Just then the phone rings. When Dru picked up the phone, she immediately told the caller to quit calling her. She knew it was Carmen and she has had enough. Devon is shocked at her reaction and tries to calm her down. But it’s no use she slams down the phone and tells Devon that she needs to put a trace on the line. Devon told her that it was a ridiculous idea, but Dru is determined to stop Carmen. She called Michael and tells him that he needs to put a trace on her phone. He asked her if she could identify who was calling her and she told him “Yea, Carmen.? Michael is shocked.

Sharon is in her office and daydreaming when Jack comes in with a present. She asked him if it was something that she could open now, and Jack told her that she could but it would be better if she waited. She sat the present aside as they discussed the business that Jack went to take care of. They make plans to celebrate their Valentines Day tonight and Jack leaves. Sharon gets ready and goes over to the coffee house, but not before she has some choice words with Nicki. She saw Nick still sitting at his table alone. Sharon asked him how Phyllis and the baby were. Nick told her that they were good and thanked her for asking. He asked how she was and she replied that she was fine. She starts to walk off but Nick stopped her and asked her to join him for lunch. Sharon accepted his offer and Nick pulls out a chair for her. Sharon broke the news that Brad had given her about the codes. Nick knew nothing about it.

Kevin caught up with Jenna as Jenna convinced him to go back to rescue Colleen. Once they were there, Kevin was glad to see Colleen and they decided to hurry up and get out before they got caught. Shockingly, Jenna pulled out a stun gun and held it on Kevin and Colleen. Kevin asked her what she thought she was doing. Jenna explained to him that she was going to get a lot of money for getting the code, which Colleen has found. As they talked, Jenna finally confessed that she killed Carmen, but she didn’t aim to. She thought back as she described to Colleen and Kevin what had happened that led to Carmen’s death. She had found a file of Victoria Newman’s. As she was looking in it, Carmen came in and asked her what she was doing with it, Jenna told Carmen that she was just looking at it. Carmen was convinced that there was more to the story. Jenna assured Carmen that she would call Victoria as soon as she served Carmen her drink. Colleen reminded Jenna that there was nothing in that file. Jenna said that she knew that and she didn’t aim to kill Carmen, it was a mistake. She went on to tell Kevin that she also didn’t aim to fall in love with him, but she did. Kevin tries to convince Jenna to give him the laser gun. As he and Colleen talk to her, Kevin catches Jenna looking at Colleen and reaches in for the laser. Jenna hated to do it, but she stuns Kevin and he falls to the ground. Colleen runs to help Kevin up. Jenna apologized for hurting him, but she doesn’t want him to do that anymore. Jenna then tells the two what she wants done. She wants Kevin to lock Jenna up in the refrigerator and then set fire to the building. Kevin doesn’t want to do that, but Jenna has already come up with the plan.

Meanwhile, Brad and Victoria are discussing how she is jealous of Sharon. Victoria accused Brad of having a fling with Sharon and she didn’t like him to flaunt it in front of her father. Brad tells her that he doesn’t love Sharon and he sweet talks her right into bed. Victoria is no longer mad at him.
